While we waited on the replacement bus, we stumbled upon an international party at Harbin Hall's patio. It was part of GU's iWeek 2007. What do you know, Canadians! The student in the Team Canada hockey jersey hails from Toronto and is a Maple Leafs fan (I'll forgive her). I nibbled on home made Nanaimo bars, maple tarts and water taffy. In true Canadian fashion, she wouldn't take my dessert ticket until I insisted I was just about full and had no room to sample food from other tables. I had stuffed myself earlier with Pakistani cuisine.

Doing a Google for reviews indicates that the food here is fresh, good and cheap. Apparently Afghan food is similar to Pakistani food. I like these old-fashioned restaurant streetfronts. They are becoming rare.
